چکیده

A study was made of PHA-stimulated formation is age-related. Until the 18th thymic lymphocyte transformation in 10 week of gestation, the per cent of transhuman fetuses ranging from 12 to 22 formed thymic lymphocytes is comparaweeks of gestation. The results were ble to that of blood lymphocytes. After compared with those obtained using cirthe 18th week of gestation, the per cent culating blood lymphocytes of the corof transformed thymic lymphocytes diresponding fetuses in seven cases. The minishes to the level of adult thymic degree of transformation of blood lymlymphocytes. The significance of these phocytes is independent of fetal age. On findings is discussed. the other hand, thymic lymphocyte trans-

The Effect of Long-Term X-Ray Exposure on Human Lymphocyte

The aim of the paper is to investigate effects of long term x-ray exposure on the human lymphocyte, reactive lymphocyte parameters and morphology of lymphocytes in x-ray technicians at Kirkuk hospitals. The study included 54 apparently healthy male x-ray technicians were matched with another 54 apparently healthy control to show any alteration in the lymphocytes, reactive lymphocytes and morpho...

THE PRODUCTION OF MURINE MONOCLONAL ANTIBODIES (MAb) DIRECTED AGAINST HUMAN T- LYMPHOCYTE SUBSETS

The production of murine monoclonal antibody (MAb) has not yet been reported in Iran. The present work describes for the first time the generation of several murine hybridoma clones secreting MAbs directed against human leukocyte surface antigens. The secreted antibodies by hybridoma clones have been screened on different lymphoid and non-lymphoid tissues. Results indicated that of seven h...

Demonstration of the inhibitory effect of human alpha-fetoprotein on in vitro transformation of human lymphocytes.

We have studied the effects of human alpha-fetoprotein (HAFP), isolated from the serum and ascitic fluid of a hepatoma-bearing patient, on the in vitro transformation of human peripheral blood lymphocytes by a variety of mitogenic stimuli. At a concentration of 2.5 mg/ml, HAFP inhibited the lymphocyte response to phytohemagglutinin, concanavalin A, and rabbit anti-human thymocyte serum, but fai...

Diagnostic and clinical significance of D2-40 expression in the normal human thymus and thymoma.

Human thymus development and thymoma behavior remain elusive, in spite of many acquisitions in the field in last decades. In the present paper, we analyzed the immunohistochemical expression of D2-40 in the normal human thymus and thymoma. In both fetal and postnatal normal thymus, we found a strong expression of D2-40 in the subcapsular and cortico-medullary epithelial cells, and lack of expre...

Developmentally regulated cell surface expression and function of c-kit receptor during lymphocyte ontogeny in the embryo and adult mice.

We have used a c-kit-specific monoclonal antibody, immuno-fluorescence staining and flow fluorocytometry or microscopy analysis to assess the cell surface expression of the c-kit receptor on a panel of non-transformed clones representing different stages of T- and B-lymphocyte development, freshly isolated lymphoid cells from thymus, bone marrow and spleen of young adult C57BL/6 mice and cells ...
